Polycrystalline materials, or polycrystals, are solids that are composed of many crystallites of varying size and orientation. Most materials are polycrystalline, made of a large number crystallites held together by thin layers of amorphous solid.

Advantages

Polycrystalline solar panels cost less and have a more simple manufacturing process.

Technology Limitation

The efficiency of polycrystalline-based solar panels is a little less because of lower silicon purity. Although the difference is getting smaller all the time, you generally need to cover a slightly larger area to output the same electrical power as you would with mono panels. However, this does not mean every mono solar panel will perform better than poly panels.

At Present Multi Solar cell efficiency available in range of 18.50 % to 19.40% where as Module wattage range is 320 Wp to 345 Wp with 72 Full solar cell technology.
