Inter-solar interaction.

Q. What are you expecting from Intersolar 2022?

  • We were obviously very excited to have Intersolar 2022 last year as well. I think it was a welcome change that intersolar happened in Gandhinagar. For us, Gujarat
is a very important market because it is actually driving the solar industry and has the largest DCR projects, which are happening, and the largest share in the C&I segment and utility. So, it has a very good mix, and that’s the reason why it is very exciting to be here at Intersolar. We expect to meet our customers and prospective customers because there is a lot going on in the Gujarat market, and also because it is close to Rajasthan, so there are a lot of customers from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

Q. What are the recent launches of Saatvik Group?

  • We are launching the N-Top Con 620Wp, and that is our first launch. Along with it, we are also launching our DCR monoperc. As a result, we are the first Indian manufacturer to introduce DCR panels with half-cut technology. So, 540 Wp, which we believe will be well accepted by the market because it is important to provide the best and newest technology to residential customers, and we, as well as our distributors and dealers, are very committed to delivering to residential customers. These are the two products that we are launching here.

Q. As India’s energy demand is expected to grow demand?

  • In the first nine months, India has already crossed 10 GW, so we are well poised to do more than 14 GW this year. I believe it could be even higher because the last quarter is traditionally the busiest, so the solar market in India is booming. Obviously, some policies, barriers, policy changes, and roadblocks exist, but I believe we are all poised to make it larger, as India aims to achieve 450 GW of renewable energy by 2030. It is important that solar installations of about 20 to 25 GW happen year after year. So, when we see a market as big as India, it is also becoming an export market. I think a lot of exports to the US and Europe is going to happen from India now.
In practice, we see 40-50 GW of manufacturing potential in India. So it’s very exciting, and obviously we want to be committed, which is why we’re also expanding, from 1GW to 2GW. We are also adding 2+2 cells and modules in Gandhidham, Gujarat. We are very well committed to that.

Q. How Intersolar is going to help PAHAL SOLAR in expanding its business expansion?

  • Gujarat is a leader in solar utility, C&I, and residential, so it has a very good mix of all segments where we are targeting. Intersolar helps to bring all the customers and sellers under one roof and exchange ideas, and we feel it’s a good forum for us to meet our customers and suppliers.
